Dream

This morning, for instance, shortly before waking up,
which was also shortly after falling asleep,
I had a dream: Physical exhaustion in thinking of him had lead her with confusions—
She is sitting around waiting if he will ever appear.
She barely had any patienceand coould not stand a minute of his absence.
As she is waiting for him to come, heremotions begins to drain,
and could not understanding her ex-lover who was once by herside.
The lost of her love one, had completely changed her life to become miserable.
He provided a stable life for her at the beginning,
and loved her under any circumstance, however,
the wrongs of materialism, greed, and selfishness had brought her to become a failure.
But she realizes the actual pain of this separation,
it haunted her for taking advantage of his wealth.
Her close friends helped this miserable lady, storming off grief,
knowing that she had spent many times alone with a broken heart.
He wanted to end their relationship for his own happiness,
by taking his life through that open window to escape from fate,
easy way out without acknowledging it in the first place, which was wrong of him.
He could of at least fling at her with a sudden break up,
but he disregard in taking any blames in leaving her behind, without a trace.
He was creeping out of the sky,
and hoping to reach toward the color that filled the air right after,
the minute their relationship had ended he was searching for someone new,
which was kind of pathetic in a way,
especially when it takes a lot of time to heal.
After leaving from a long term commitment,
she had realize that it was also because he was an ugly dude.
There was some sort of jealousy floating in the air,
But the love he had was no longer there.
She suicides and leaves him with regrets, after feeling depressed.
Months later a little whispered word escaped from a ghost of his past-ex,
which was the unsolved mystery in that bitter moment.
Before their breakup,
he was a small caterpillar that was not crushed or killed,
since she picked him up from the floor during their first meet.
That might have been the reason that he stayed in the relationship,
Too damn long and believes he paid all his dues.
There was no real love or anything because she was just blinded by the feeling of love.
She could have let him go and dropped him anytime on the street,
But she did not feel pity for him and thought it was real love.
Soon I woke up and realized that it was just a dream of love,
that leads to mixture of damage and along with some happiness.

  1. There are so many good lines ('it was also because he was an ugly dude,' the lines about caterpillars) in here--the reading is very pleasant, even as I work through all the 'he' and 'she' ambiguity, framed very interestingly by the opening line (which starts as if in mid-conversation with that 'for instance') and the closing first person. And yet despite the colorful images and clear lines, there's a melancholy that pervades the whole thing that works very well.
